:Episode 6 - Dead Is Forever:
Colonel Dempsey and Sean Smith of Blue Troop are
on bodyguard duty, protecting Overseas Development Minister Nicky
Strong on a Top Secret visit to Tblisi, where she is negotiating
a package of assistance for the regime in return for oil and mineral
concessions.
Henno and Pru spend the day together and discuss whom Mrs Twamley has been seeing. Meanwhile Mrs Twamley meets Macalwain and tells
him their night of passion was wrong. He confesses his love and
tells her he will leave the army.
Pete admits to Jamie he has post-traumatic stress disorder, but he doesn't want help because it means being taken off ops. He'd
rather die than step down.
In Tblisi, Dempsey has a nightcap with Strong. The Georgians' security adviser Michael Moriarty bursts into the room, taking them hostage,
as hooded men shoot Smith in the room next door. Dempsey just manages
to scribble the initials MM and AR on a notepad. News gets back
of the kidnap as Henno and Pru get intimate and they and the others
rush to HQ.
Caroline briefs them that the kidnappers appear to be rebels demanding money and the release of prisoners in return for Strong's freedom.
They don't know if Dempsey is alive or dead. Red Troop is to leave
immediately for an undercover rescue attempt. As they prepare, Henno
realises Macalwain is the one sleeping with Pete's wife.
Dempsey is being tormented by his captors but continues
to act out his role as Strong's Ministerial aide. Jamie and Caroline
head for the border by land posing as Swedish journalists, and Henno
and the others go by air, all in various guises.
Inside Georgia, they set up at the house of a local man, Kurt. Henno goes to see Moriarty, an old associate, and asks for his help
while Pru tries to pinpoint the area where Strong's ransom message
was filmed. Pete realises Dempsey's message refers to Moriarty and
his security firm, but Henno assumes it means 'Mickmo' can assist.
The SAS grab Moriarty as he leaves his house and
order him to help them find the kidnap lair through risky terrain
in pitch darkness. Caroline tells Henno she doesn't trust Mickmo,
but whose side is he really on? As the dangerous mission reaches
its climax Henno decides to settle a personal score.
